Masks are in currently in production and we are targeting Fridays 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. and Wednesdays 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. as the FREE MASK DAYS. Salem Baptist Church is offering these masks at no cost to the community. Masks can be picked up at the church location, 1448 Pleasant Grove Road, Dalton, GA via a drive through service. To be included in the pickup please take a moment to fill out the NEED A MASK page for the number you would like to pick up. Salem is asking for Dalton citizens to donate material such as sheets (cotton blend) as well. Also, we are looking for more seamstresses to add to the Sewing Army. Please sign up under Sewing Partner if are interested in sewing masks.

If you are interested in starting a ministry in your own area please fill out the form on Contact and we will be happy to assist as best we can.

“If you’re in the grocery store and someone coughs into your face, would you want something over their face, and would you want something over your own face as well?”

In settings where facemasks are not available, HCP might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face.

Salem Baptist Church makes no claim that masks supplied by the church are a replacement for the protection from the COVID-19 virus. To protect yourself please read the updated reports supplied by the CDC – click here.
